Scavenger Hunt Sunday 3

This weeks prompts are all answered by holiday photos I have only just got round to looking at from 2 weeks ago. I guess had I been thinking straight over the past while I would have used these folders for last weeks prompts as that would have made sense but so little has made sense recently that this just fits fine.

If you remember one of my Bucket List things for 2013 was to complete a 52 week project but I'm not so stubborn that I'll let my blip last week and failure to complete week 2 make me feel bad!

So onwards and Week 3...

Basket
Well it would seem that vast majority of people in Amsterdam would prefer a crate to a traditional basket on the front of their bike. I makes sense; perfect for all the grocery shopping; you can lift it easily up all those stairs and it's plastic so all the rain isn't a problem :)

Park(ed)
It would have been fab to go to the Vondel Park which was just at the end of our street but the weather was so terrible we didn't make it there. We told by a local that we weren't missing anything at this time of year anyway, lol. So instead I have chosen this - a maintenance and repair shop were all the bikes were parked up in the foyer :)

Auto
These cars are hilarious and if I lived in Amsterdam (can if I could drive) I would have one. So cool, so small, so me. They seemed to run on a petrol lawnmower engine and as seen, are very east to park.
 Recycle
A rather lovely antiques shop had these beautiful old stools etc outside; I would love to know just some the stories they could tell. I'm a huge fan of thrifted things in my home but we only had one little suitcase between us. Plus all our money was needed for beer and coffee and fresh mint tea - thirsty work sightseeing.

People Watching
A cool bar called Cafe de Prins and I liked the very varied clientele, not to mention the bits of old fresco in the walls here and there. Great wine in that place, I think it was what gave me the courage to take a candid portrait of 2 people I don't even know ;)

I hope you like these and do check out the other lovely participant's work over at Ashley's blog link up here

I'll have to get a few more photos up this coming week of our trip; it was good fun despite the weather and me having the flu!

Hi Carrie,

I love the photos, especially the one of the people. I'm a people watcher too, in fact I have a tendency to stare which my husband finds embarrassing. But I can't help it, I'm just fascinated by people and I'm often inspired by them.

Here is the link to my shop by the way. http://www.etsy.com/shop/momatuvi

Thanks again.

that little car made me giggle...and if it takes a glass of wine for you to take people shots, have another!!

i could totally see you driving that car. i loved that you took the picture of the people talking. i'm always afraid of doing that. and i just hate asking for permission to take photos of people.

Love the stacked bikes and that car is too cute (?? safe - but definitely cute). Love those stools and admire your gumption to go ahead and photograph the two at the Cafe.

Well done!
