Flock of Birds 2

'Sew Cherry Blossom' news

I have been trying to keep myself busy whilst the weather has been so dull and thus far I am finishing off my 8th bird hanging :) One sold to a great lady called Lin and I so desperately want the postal service to go fast, urgent!, so that she can see it and tell me if she loves it. It was a pink one with flowers on so I'll call it a 'her'. To have sold my 1st one makes me sort of believe in myself again, but it's all very fragile at the moment.

However I listed 2 more today -
A beautiful blue bird with retro 70's style fabric and orange buttons :)
And this super funky red one with a purple belly and lovely spotty wings all on metallic thread.
My dearest friend has also pre-ordered (or 'put dibs on') this beauty, I just love pink and that rosy fabric is gorgeous. She's so lucky at the  moment to be in Morocco, but when she returns, this little bird will fly down to see her in Co. Kerry. And just this evening, my sister-in-law has asked for a pink one too :)
I got a delivery of more silver jingle bells this morning and on Saturday morning I got hold of some beautiful dove grey felt and some moss coloured felt - I have ideas for them and for using them in combination with a vintage cream woollen skirt and a gorgeous pair of grey and black tweed trousers - recycling at it's best.

I also have to get better photos of another blue bird and a purple bird I've made - the blue one is going to have a little bit of a surprise added to it, exciting! It shall be the first Deluxe version of a hanging.

Hugs

They ARE gorgeous!!!! And really happy-making! What a lovely idea, and I'm sure all the birdies will find loving homes! :)

Thank you so much, my sweet Carrie, for your sweet words and wishes for little Lilli! She's my mom's fur baby, the poor thing got bitten by a dog or fox... She only goes out very little, and always keeps very close to the house, so she was very unlucky... but lucky too, because thank God she survived! She is doing much better now, and eating with good appetite, but of course she dislikes the cone collar... which unfortunately is necessary for her own safety :( Poor little baby, but she's in loving hands! :)
