one crafty photographer's stumble through life :)

I'm a .com :)

Oh, I've a new home

So you may have noticed that you have been redirected here from my blogspot account (unless you came here via my Facebook page) and it's all rather exciting. Cherry Blossom Tattoo now has a much shorter and easier address to remember and when you say it over and over during craft fair season.... "you'll find more about me and my work at cherryblossomtattoophotography.blogspot.com" and see more and more people's eyes glaze over you'll understand that  "ohcherryblossomtattoo.com" is going to be easier for everyone, haha.

the hubby merrily manning the stall for me :)
Well that's the idea anyway and as blogger (the host on my blog) redirects whose who may land on the old address to this new one it seemed like a pretty good idea. I will not lie though, for me this was very difficult and not at all like the blogger directions I received. So I must thank a certain Mr Chuck Croll aka Nitecruzer on the blogger forum for guiding me through the steps with patience (lots of it) and straightforward human speak! We all need a Chuck in our lives and I am so thankful I found mine, haha.

You can check out his pretty darn comprehensive blog here if you too ever use Blogger as your host.

If you do ever go there you'll see just how many other, intelligent and sane people he has helped from all the world. Sometimes computers just aren't that friendly - am I right?!

In other news...

I was so exhausted last week with making my new line of felt bird hangings; I worked until my eyes nearly popped out and my hands seized up with the effort of all that hand sewing but it was worth it! Oh yes, 7 new birds (a flock if you will) have gone to roost with Lorraine at the gorgeous Kingfisher Craft Gallery in Killyleagh and I can't quite tell you how happy I am that she liked them. I also dropped in some replacement pincushion corsages  ogled a bit at the incredible independent artist's work she sells and went next door for celebratory cake :)

I have started to do ones for babies - there in the middle is one for a little boy: cream and blue. And some more demure ones too as well as the bright and fun ones I love so much.
Apple, cranberry and almond cake - omg, just heavenly

And finally

I have new art work to go into my photography shop - gorgeous, very Irish landscapes (quite unusual subject matter for me). After working really very hard on my new camera I have got my colour and contrast style down and I look foward to sharing them
but first.....
I need to have a SALE, to make room for them and I shall be gathering up some of my older pieces and reducing them this week. Keep an eye out on the shop page or on my Facebook page xxxx

Hugs

GREAT work you've been up to, dear Carrie!!! Congratulations on your .com!!!!!! I WANT ONE TOO!!!!!! Is it still free or are you paying for a "domain"? I'd love it for my blog too, or for my website @wix.com (it would remove the wix in the address), but I can't afford the expense right now :(
Your new colorful birdies are awesome!!!! Well done on all the great news and work! I feel new Spring energy in your air, I'm so happy for you! :)
It's so gray and raining here... I need a blue sky to get me going!!!
Lots of love!

Well blogger forwarded me straight away so that was great :)

Congrats on the new ".COM" :)

I have been working on one for 2 years, I am determined to get it finished next week if it kills me (and it most probably will, I need so much help with computer stuff ;(

Hope you have a lovely weekend, cheers, T. :)

P.S. Birdies are so cute :)
